Hi! I definitely think you would benefit, especially since you're moving to a new town. It's a great way to meet new people! Sure, you never know what kind of people you'll meet, but in general the women are there for the same reasons (friends, volunteer, drink, have fun, etc.). Requirements for provisionals (those in their first year) vary GREATLY depending on what state you're in and this is a big deal in terms of the time they require from you. This also holds true for opportunities and the kind of parties/events they throw. For instance, I just now returned from a big party hosted by Tory Burch, and although there was a lot of manual labor involved with setting-up tables and organizing caterers/food, I walked away with a TON of free stuff and coupons :) AND I had some good laughs. But I'm in a big city, so you might not get lucky with the free swag in Little Rock.
Also, in JL in the South is WAY different than where I'm at (from what I've heard): greater stigma around the impact it's had in the community, tougher requirements, more selective with whom they "allow" join, etc.. Ok I'm rambling now. Bottom line: around September they'll offer a meet-and-greet where you can go to a free party and ask questions. I recommend going and checking it out. You have nothing to lose :)
Hope this helps some! Feel free to ask me more questions, love to help! And THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading my blog :) I'm trying to have good fun with it!!!
