About Me:

The name durvy is rooted in teasing. It’s the only nickname that’s ever stuck and began when my 8 year old brother and 10 year old sister discovered the word “Duh.” “Duh” became “Durr,” and then my father jokingly called me “Durr-von,” as a variation of Devon. It was then shortened to “Durvy” and has been stuck to my back ever since.

I'm funny, witty and in recovery from alcohol addiction. I'm a fourth (or is it fifth? Let's go with sixth) wave feminist and I'm trying to figure out how I can make that work for me in real life.

I am dating a Jewish frat boy named Alex Handy. I swear Handy is his real last name.

For a while there, I was just another 20-something blogger who got drunk a lot and blogged about shoes. Now, I am just another 20-something blogger who still blogs about her shoes, but now I do it sober. There is, however, a lethal amount of caffeine involved. And the odd cigarette, but don’t tell Alex because he hates that.

I’m obsessed with Harry Potter, shoes that cost more than my computer, pans of homemade, undercooked brownies, Law and Order:SVU, and NCIS. I think Ziva is hot, and Alex sometimes tells me he thinks I’m a lesbian.
