Your Heroes

So, here is what I would like to know: your heroes, who are they? Who are the people in society that you look up to, that inspire you, that make you want to go all out and succeed. I'm not talking mom or pop, or even Obama (never the less, all good people), I'm talking about the trail blazers and the people who have worked hard to create a niche or whatever it may be that is important to you.My heroes? Rick Mercer and George Stroumboulopoulos. Two guys who have worked hard to provide Canadians…See More

Nemesis

So I take kung fu. I’ve only been doing it for about 3 weeks now, but I’m excited because I’ve developed my first ever nemesis. Some people might find this a bad thing, but for those of us who were always previously seen to be too weak to be a threat in any area, it’s quite the compliment. His name is Brian and he is just a plain cool guy. He’s by far one of the rising stars at our kwoon (practice area). We’ve recently had a few really nice girls come to join, so he’s been laying on the sleaze…See More

Nerd Fury

Occasionally, guys fight over girls without actually coming to physical blows. I'm sure most girls have been in a similar scenario that I experienced tonight. There is table of girls, and the two guys? Any given night we most likely would have hit it off and become great friends. However, tonight the two of us find ourselves the centre of attention and only one of us will be taking the princess of the posse home.I joined my a long time friend, an art student, and her fellow majors for a few…See More

This is why I don't go to concerts

I listen to a lot of music. I don't pay for it. I am one of those guys who remembers what it was like to pay $25 in 1998 for an Offspring CD. $25 in the 90's could have bought me a lifetime's supply of pogs, a Voltron T-shirt and a box full of Vanilla Ice albums. For years we were ripped off when it came to getting access to our favourtie band's music. The music industry claimed that it was all about supply and demand and there was no harm in making money. Not to mention, the industry offered…See More

Rage

Everyone has that one friend in their group that is known as the "fun killer". Especially, when it comes to things like parties or having friends over. You know that person who is seemingly always behind you at parties commenting to those around you about just how drunk you are? That's one of them. These people usually grow up to be accountants, church elders or fake cops who hand out tickets when you don't pay for public transportation.I find people like this especially annoying because I am a…See More

If you were to ask anyone my top five favourite things in the world they would tell you the following:

1. the Zoo
2. Buses

4. Sharks
5. Girls Sandwiches

Yesterday was a fun filled afternoon that was spent at the Metro Toronto Zoo. Easily the greatest place on Earth. I can find everyone one of my favourite things there AND it’s a great place to go on a date to boot.

My friend Matt and I enjoyed a variety of adventures involving tigers, komodo dragons, and various turtles but were saddened to find out that the polar bears were not present for the season. That was the whole reason we came. We made due with smaller, less dangerous bears:

I am a fearsome man.

From Them to Me

Posted on February 3, 2009 at 1:30am 2 Comments

Every so often they have a few blogging contests and this month's, in honour of Valentine's Day, is creating a love letter or a break-up letter. As I was thinking to myself about topics, I wondered what it would be like to write a break-up letter to myself from the perspective of every woman I've ever dated. Who else has given me the best material for this, if not them?

This is my first attempt at audio stuff, so be… Continue

Ooh, which Diamond classic did you perform? Are you a very good singer or was it as bad as I imagine? I didn't get depressingly drunk this holiday. I decided that filling my void of men with alcohol would do no good. So I filled it with baking cupcakes....and then basically inhaling them with a friend. Tomorrow I plan on going to the grocery store and popping all of the left over heart shaped balloons...for the good of mankind=)

Hah :) That'd be dreamy indeed...

I just use some fairly-old Logitech USB microphone (think it cost about... £10, or $15) and Audacity, which is some opensource and free recording software. I'm not very good with the software, but I think it can do some pretty cool things -- I just use it to 'align' the few takes and iron out a few goofs :)
