About Me:: After graduating from Ithaca College with a BFA in theatre production, I worked on the MS Prinsendam with Holland America. Then I moved to the landlocked state of Utah where I have been enjoying work and life for the past four years. I love working for PTC and it is great fun.

On the side I have always been taking photos and now that has turned into a small side business for me. One of my specialties is low light and theatre photography. I am the staff photographer for PTC and I am hoping to hook up with some of the other local theatre organizations as well.

Thanks again for all the great camera advice in the thread I posted last week. I was looking back on it now and checking out all the cameras you linked in your posts. Question for you. What do you think of the Canon Rebel Xti DSLR (do you know anything about it?) A friend of mine is selling hers with all its accessories for 600$ which I'm thinking is a pretty decent price. If I'm looking for really beginner photography, do you think this would make any sense?

I'm still looking at all the different camera links you posted and I'm liking the Nikon CoolPix P100 as well as the Canon PowerShot SX30 IS. Do you know how those compare to the one that she is selling?
