About Me:: 20something girl in the middle of the quarter-life crisis, living in southern California.

In February 2008, my half-decade relationship with The Ex ended. But instead of taking some time off and recovering from a relationship that I thought would result in marriage, I jumped right back into the dating scene. First with He Who Shall Not Be Named, then The Doctor, then my experience with Match.com, then Nice Guy and finally I decided to take a break from dating and focus on being single. Which is when and why this blog started.

I focused on bettering myself, being healthy, reading, attending church, and that is where I met Church Boy–the latest boy to fall into my dating web. I broke up with him in late October and now I’m trying to find my footing again in the single world.

I have just moved out of my parents’ house so living on my own is going to present its own challenges. I currently have a job in public relations that I really love, and I’m trying to make some better girl friends than some of the flaky, superficial ones that I currently have.

This blog was started mostly to find people who feel as lost as I do. Even though I’m probably the age where people consider me a grown-up, I still feel like I’m the sixteen-year-old girl in high school who was just trying to make it to the next day. So here it is: my thoughts on my love, dating, friends, family…my thoughts on life. Whether you can relate, understand, or find it just plain entertaining, I’m glad you stopped by.

Ever played with fire?

I'm trying out a little experiment and could use some help. In regards to relationships, Have you ever done something you know you shouldn't have done, but did it anyway? ie--dated someone you weren't really interested in, dated someone you knew was totally wrong for you, cheated, been the "other" woman/man, kept feelings for an ex even if you were dating someone new...how did you justify your actions to yourself? if you knew what you were doing was wrong, why did you keep doing it?See More

How long will you wait for a commitment?

Is there a timeline--two months, three months, six months--or will you wait indefinitely for someone that you REALLY like to commit to you?In my post today, I argue that if a guy isn't absolutely crazy about you after three months, you should move on.
