VA was awesome actually, I really really loved it, one of my favourite places in the world. I actually really miss it, like some weird alternate form of homesickness.

I was only in Chicago for one day I'm afraid, only saw a very small part of it (basically hotel and a few bars)

yeah i know what you mean, it's somehow always surprising when the borderline nutcase does something weird and your relationships spiral out of control

I studied abroad for a year, in Virginia at law school, travelled a bit in the States too, really was an amazing year.
