t has been some time since i rode a bus and when i mean bus, i mean those vehicles in edsa, manila that has drivers who are i'm assuming, race car drivers or former roller coaster operators. its either you'll be thrown at the back of the bus or violently lurch towards its front. the driver couldn't care less, as long as he commands the wheel and can tilt the bus at a 45 degree angle, depending on its speed and the number of uncomplaining, unconscious passengers in it.

As a kid, the only way that I get to be the center of attention is when I'm required to perform on stage, either as a dancer, singer, actress or declaimer (I was that talented, I swear) or when someone puts a "I farted." sign on my back. Or when someone depants me in the middle of a class recitation or in the middle of the game, rock-paper-scissors (I'm not even sure if depantsing is somehow a part of that game). With the past disappointments and mistakes still hovering above my head, I promise myself that this year will be my year and that this year will be the year that I finally make and follow the tradition of making new year resolutions and having enough discipline and motivation in me, to stick to it:
