Hair is such an issue for many women. In my experience I have found hair to carry extraordinary significance for women of color. There is so much wrapped up in the coils of our hair. I want everyone to talk about hair. Their own hair. Our hair. Everyone's hair. I want us to stop internalizing negative messages about natural hair.
