Where do you live:
Seattle, WA
About Me:
I am about 16 months out of college and am still learning how to thrive in the real world. I am currently dedicated to several overarching goals:

1) Attain a meaningful career. However long it takes, I will network, volunteer and elbow-grease my way out of my current position of Glorified Telemarketer. Perhaps I will be a writer or an editor.
2) Develop a social network in my new city of Seattle.
3) Fulfill all of my New Years Resolutions: Skydive, run a marathon, and hike Mount Rainier. I was surprised by how much more interesting I became, to myself and to my friends, when I began to actually plan and train for these goals.
4) Make up for what I lost during college. I focused so much on studying and on myself that I lost much of my social life and, ultimately, much of my integrity. If you want advice on how to avoid the same pitfalls, I'm happy to help.

So far, I'm making good progress with my goals!

Posted on January 17, 2009 at 11:00pm 0 Comments

On my list trip to Costco, I recorded items and price with a notepad, and created this grocery list to get in shape for the marathon. even if you aren't working out, it comes with many other benefits,

1) You can buy a month's worth of groceries in one, hour-long trip.

2) It only costs $194 per month.

3) It provides a healthy diet with variety.

4) All of the food will last for more than a month.…

Don't forget memory--advice on maintaining relationships

Posted on January 9, 2009 at 11:30pm 0 Comments

People have good memories. Since leaving college, I've noticed patterns among people who keep up with me via Facebook, and those who fail to wish me happy birthday. Relationships I strained, by failing to be punctual and by letting my manners slip, are pretty much over now. Those I nurtured by occasional correspondence, invitations and courtesy, have their roots still firmly intact. Ironically, some people I had barely any contact with, such as a friend of a friend, send occasional messages and… Continue

Ambitious Resolutions

Posted on January 4, 2009 at 9:29pm 0 Comments

Maybe it was all the cups of canteen coffee I drank last Sunday, or maybe I had one of those occasional, uber-useful bursts of energy, but I suddenly desired to to make several ambitious New Years Resolutions:

1) Run all 23.2 miles of the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon on June 27.

2) Skydive from about 13,000 feet.

3) Climb to the top fo Mountain Rainier.

4) Organize another blood drive at church for March.

5) (Possibly) Take my cousing Darren up on the offer to… Continue
