I'm curious how many other bloggers (besides myself) on 20sb will be joining Wikipedia and many other sites in their protest of SOPA and PIPA. For those of you unaware what those acronyms mean, I…Continue

About Me:
I'm a 24 year old writer/blogger with a bachelor's degree (in Communcations and Broadcasting) and master's degree (in Higher Education Administration) already under my belt. My ultimate goal is to become a college level curriculum designer for programs that integrate Montessori style teaching into a non-religious setting. I've been actively blogging since 2005 in some capacity, and in 2010 I started my own blog which is updated daily.

In my spare time I compose my own music and write my own stories. I'm an avid gamer (primarily sports games) and am a big fan of political satire shows and professional wrestling. I've done quite a bit of travel in the last five or so years, with stints living in Ohio, Arizona, Spain, and the Philippines, in addition to visits to over half of the USA as well as Japan.

That's a shame, though I know the experience is not the best thing for everybody. My son has Aspergers, and public school was an unmitigated disaster, in every possible way. And I am working very hard to make sure he enjoys learning :)

I'm a homeschooler, and as such have bumped into the Montessori methods over and over again (they're quite popular with the homeschooling crowd). I also like the idea of working those methods into a non-religiously-slanted program that could, in theory, reach a huge number of children. It's just a very unique and, I think, selfless goal to have.

That's very true - there are a lot of requirements in terms of work experience, letters of recommendations, and grades (I did well, but I didn't have a 3.9, which is 'average'). Well, I'm interested in several ares: self-identity, character strengths, well-being, happiness, close relationhips. emotion, motivation, social interaction, optimism and pessimism, and others. What program you looking a PhD in?

Yes, I think Facebook would be easier if you want to find me there.

That really is great! :) Well, I wanted to get a Phd in social psychology, but I started applying last fall and began having second thoughts, so I'm still figuring out what I want to.

That's great that you'll be closer to your family and your girlfriend! I'd like to go to graduate school out of state, so hopefully that will happen in the next few years. I have family in Cincinnati so I've been there in the winter and they have a summer home in Lakeside so I've been there in the summer.

Thanks, I'm happy to have a little cash flow coming in. I agree, nannying is a strange word. Good for you! Best wishes with all the transitioning. I must admit I'm a but jealous, I wish I could get out of the heat. I have family in Ohio and I love the area. Do you have family living near you? I'm sure that would be nice.

That's good to hear. Wow, that must have been quite an endeavor! Where did you move to? Well, I actually just started nannying a bit...not ideal, but it's some income and busywork.
