If you have a good skill set, an employer is going to be willing to do the paperwork to get you a job, especially if you intern there. I finally got a work permit myself, but I'm having a hard time finding a job with flexible hours. I'm hoping I'll be getting a grant soon to pay for some stuff for my glass bead making, then I can use that to make some money.

Oh too- if you were recently a student in Canada, you can check out this organization: BUNAC.
Be careful about different insurance requirements some schools may have.

I suggest just going there and figuring it out on the other side.. also if you've recently gone to school there are work exchange programs, or you could stay in the states by becoming a part time student or something- or I know a few people who worked for a company that was in both countries and transferred... anywho I'll quit rambling :)
