The Demigoddess is 27 years old. She is tattooed and addicted to caffeine and nicotine. This is her personal blog where she writes about her city life, her friends, family and relationships. She is on a quest to discover the meaning of life, the Fountain of Youth and the secret to having fewer neurotic episodes. She admits it is impossible to cure neurosis.
In 2009, after spending the past 26 years of her life in the city where she was born and raised, she decided to leave her career in the BPO space, sold her stuff, pooled her life savings (which isn't really much) and packed her bags to take on the big city. She has since then been living in Makati City where she dreams of making it big someday.
When she was ten years old, she wanted to be an astronaut. Barely passing physics, chem and a few math subjects (she was great in the natural sciences and biology, though) she abandoned that dream and decided she will be a nun. After losing her virginity, she decided she would just become a teacher but realizing that being a teacher required teaching kids based on a curriculum she doesn't believe in, she decided to become something else instead. Now, her dream is to become a writer, and not just a blogger, but a published writer. In her spare time, which is a total of 18 hours a day, she writes her collection of short stories on finding love and how to keep it when you find it. She also plans to write her memoirs this early in her life so she doesn't have to breeze through it when she is 60.
The Demigoddess believes in Google, Apple, Lady Gaga, moisturizers, the power of caffeine and alcohol, in vampires and in Barney Stinson of How I Met Your Mother (although, she disagrees that it will take more than 5 seasons to tell your kids how you met their mother).
She was raised a Catholic, is currently an agnostic and lives by a moral code although during my interview with her, she said she is still working out the kinks of that code. The one thing she can affirm with certainty, though, is that despite her flaws, she will not give in to the pressures of society and that she will be her own person, free from fear and making her own mark in the world in order to leave a legacy to her grandkids (insert shriek here) that they will be proud of.
