About Me:
Professionally I am an environmental consultant based in Austin, Texas, where, coincidentally, I was also born and raised. My job puts me in contact with a good deal of old time Texas boys, politicians that do not believe in global warming and triathlete fleet managers of Fortune 500 companies; this is important for you because it means that posts about my job will not be boring.

Though my academic life is over, its important to tell you that I graduated from a small private liberal arts school in New England with a degree in Geography a couple years ago. I am absolutely qualified to tell you that yes, maps rule. Maps rule hard. Also, cold weather, particularly DARK, WINDY cold weather will kill your soul.

During my childhood I logged thousands of hours standing in front of a mirror in a leotard. No, I was not obsessive-compulsive or madly narcissistic, but instead enrolled in a professional ballet academy. Surprisingly I can eat–and eat well!–but, all those years did leave me with an acute fear of gross feet fostered by years of pointe shoe-induced bloody toes and other foulness.

On weekends and time off I waste my time drinking beer, wine, and liquor, cooking and eating vegetarian food, riding my bike, going to shows, reading books, going to the grocery store, playing with my purple accordion, going to movies, and stalking people on the internet.
