YAY!

Hello all!

I finally have home internet access, which means my presence on the 'Net should increase dramatically, perhaps pathetically. More frequent posts to come--be sure to follow!

Update!

Yay! Updates for everyone!

Well, technically I just made one update, but you can all look at it.

Sorry About Scarcity

Posted on July 24, 2008 at 10:57am 0 Comments

Hey folks.

Sorry my website hasn't been updated in a few days. I took a trip home to see the folks, and they have no internet. Ugh. Anyhoo, I'm really super tired, so it's nap time for me (Dad snores like a motherfucker, and otherwise likes to make enough noise to prevent others from sleeping peacefully).

I'm hoping to update tonight, guaranteeing a post (however small) by tomorrow. Just not now.

About Me:
If there’s anything I’ve learned during my trip on this patch of dirt, it’s that life has a way of changing our plans.

When I was ten, I saw my first (and only) shooting star and, having a good life in eastern Kentucky and being a pragmatic little tyke, I wished for everything to stay normal…and then promptly told my cousin what I wished for. Bad call, Mikey.

Since then, I’ve relocated to Lexington, KY (graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2008 probably helped influence that decision). I’ve had a veritable smorgasbord of jobs, including doing customer service for a major computer company, managing workers’ compensation claims, and working upwards of 80 hours a week in a political office during the 2008 elections.

I'm a supervisor in a call center for an emergency service. Outside of work, I’m trying to be an okay writer, a decent guitar player, and an all-around good human. I believe I’m a moderate libertarian, if I can make the category exist, and I know I’m an atheist. I’ve publicly declared that cable exists to serve Netflix and Hulu. There’s not a restaurant in Lexington where I haven’t tried (and judged) the bacon cheeseburger. I prefer bourbon to beer, and both over wine. I’ve devoted my seasons to Chicago, and have divided them based on loyalty–spring and summer go to the Cubs, fall and winter to the Bears.

That’s about the basic idea. More details as they become available.

What makes you different from other bloggers?
Simply put, I'm my own person, and that's going to come across in my writing--nobody else's. It's something I have that's nowhere else--my brain!

Hey, I stopped by your blog and noticed you'd been in South Bend. That's where I grew up. US31 is such a total boring bitch of a road. Sorry you had to drive it, but I hope the Bend treated you well!
