Hi! My name is Unemployed.
So… basically I don’t have a job. I’m pretty much unemployed at the moment. If I did have a job right now it would be: a job looking for jobs. Secondary responsibilities include feeling sorry for myself, cleaning random stuff in our apartment, and listening to Pandora.
Although times are tough, I am very thankful for the daily time I spend with Jesus in the morning and throughout my day, because in these moments I learn…

Three Little Words
Some days I wake up and the creativity just flows through me. It pulses and glows like neon, radioactive blood, changing everything it touches. And then there are days like today, when somehow I find myself at my desk at noon, wondering how I got here and what I’ve been doing for the last four hours. Those are the days that I’m just grateful I managed to wear pants. Wait I am wearing pants right? Oh good.
My brain has been a little twisted up the last couple days. I can’t quite figure…

My post of missing my mother who passed away earlier this year, wondering what happens in life after death.

Do not stand on my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.

A Candle in the Dark
I’ve been known to say that NYC is a place where dreams come true…but also a place where those dreams can be crushed into an unrecognizable dust. You have to be tough and relentless to make it here. Every day, I walk into my office with the mindset of fighting to prove that I belong, because I know I deserve it. Every time I walk into class, I fight to prove to myself that this is the right choice…

On My Way
Ever since I started my self-imposed exile in my cheap by decidedly un-glamorous hometown, I’ve had one goal: get back. Ms. NYC is still calling my name and I fully intend to answer. Of course, my bank account thanks me for my decision and my body is looking better than ever with the increased gym time. I’ve caught up with old friends I haven’t seen since high school and spent some quality time with my mom. But let’s be honest, after the city’s hustle and bustle, bar hopping any day of the…
