Tis the Season... to be busy...

I did 75% of my Christmas shopping online... yesterday.

The other 25% I've had for 6 months. :-) ~shrug~

I'm SO TIRED.

I'm working 40 a week at my regular job, even though I've got the chance for OT, which NEVER happens... but, I can't take on more because I'm working on that book and on my annual cad/design salary survey.

These are my busiest months of the year, and I am so strung out from work that I can hardly concentrate on my other stuff.

I'm feeling really positive and excited about it all though (well, most of it). I finally got to meet face-to-face with the Author I've been working for. She is really sweet and we had a nice long chat over lunch at a great Italian restaurant in the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas.

Anyway, don't want to blog too much, because I need to get back to work, just had to spout for a moment.

Oh, yeah, and for the Salary Survey, we're going to try a Podcast this year in addition to the magazine spread and newsletter article(s). I don't have the best speaking voice, but, they're thinking about podcasting around other areas of the site, and are using me as a guinea pig. One thing that makes me the ideal candidate is that much of content is technical/tutorial, and wouldn't really lend itself well being listened to on a train without a pc in front of you to try things out or see associated images to get the ideas across. A screencap is work 1,000 words.

I've been neglecting my blogger blog because I've got no technical content and my brain isn't coming through for me. I've been thinking about trying a podcast on there, too... FM/CAFM/BIM speculation, chats, stories, etc, might be good for that.

We put up our decorations and our son helped us do up our ornaments and things. This is our first Christmas in our new house and it's awesome. Way better than a little apartment!
