Where does the time go?

I pop around to my favorite sites (like blogher, twentysomething bloggers, oomph, sparkpeople and damsels in success) as often as I can... but, somehow, time slips through my fingers and I begin to miss things I never intended to miss.

I also see NaNoWriMo has fired up again, and I am left in the dust. I got to about 15k words last year, I think, but, didn't finish because in addition to last year's salary survey, I was also hired to write in a book (and get paid for it), so I had to ditch my novel ambitions.

The world turns... I moved houses in July/August, then went on vacation... now I'm packing up at work to make my office move there. ~crawling back under the covers~ There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day, and it irritates me to feel darkness outside of my windows right now when I've still got so much work to do. ~shrug~ I will have to live with it until Spring, I suppose.
