Always a bridesmaid but never the bride...

Have you guys heard of the saying "Always a bridesmaid but never the bride"? I hope this isn't true. So far I've been a bridesmaid twice. And now I have 3 other friends who are getting married. Make that two friends who are getting married since my friend May got married just last Saturday Dec.27,2008. I was one of the bridesmaids for May's wedding and will also be the bridesmaids for the other two upcoming weddings... When will my turn come???
