I haven't been able to find an acceptable place to write my longform posts up, so I figure that here is a good a place as any. Its a pretty rad community without any bias, and no one i immediately know (with the exception of a few privelaged souls) to judge me. I feel that this was the main reason I started blogging in the first place: to voice my joys and frustrations alike, even if only to send it into the void with not an eye to read it. being heard, or even simply the hope of being heard, and being related to, in my opinon, are a few of the reasons we do this. Maybe, just maybe, there is someone thinking exactly what we are, or perhaps shares are same fears, and could look our respective blogs and see a synonym to their own life and experiences.
I survived another year. yay for me. My business is thiving, so yay for that. My relationship is getting to a deeper place, which has its up and downs, but i'm happy. I've learned and lived more in the past two years than I have in the sum of my entire life, which isnt saying much; while I've had a penchant for adventures in the past, the ones that occur by nessecity rather than choice are the ones that find you really living.
Things I've Learned (And Yes, these are original)
*The only two constants in your life should be truth and love. the capacity at which both is used may vary, but they should be there.
*Conflicts will happen, but how you handle it will determine whether or not the problem will slide right off or be a total pain in your ass.
*Bullshit is a daily occurrence. Learning to rise above it is one act of human kindness that is not readily instilled in us, so deal with it the best way possible and be on your way. If you do rise above it, you are Jesus. Please take me with you.
*True Love exists, but it's few and far between. If you think you have it, hold on for dear life, but learn to know when you are wrong; you might just let the right one pass by.
*Talk more. If you feel it, say it; you hated that job anyway, she really did look fat in that, you DO think her eyes shine when you see her, he really DOES make your day complete. Chances are, the regret in saying it is minuscule to keeping it in.
*DO more. If you feel it, do it; you always wanted to sweep her off her feet, so do it. You've always had a crush on him, so act on it. You've always wanted to fly, so DON'T put on a cape and jump from your roof. Take flying lessons. You CAN, however, wear you're cape to that, if that's what you're into.
*SHE'S NOT THAT INTO YOU, because she doesn't know you yet. change that.
* Have regrets : they're there for a reason, but the reason isn;t so you could get hung up on them. Let them serve as a memory of a time that you learned from whatever mistake you made just then.
Smile. You're Beautiful.
Till the Morrow.
Ge.
