I have already teared up watching the coverage today. I am just overwhelmed with joy and happiness. So, this will be my post today. Oh, and I just want to vent one thing: I am so over everyone just talking about the fact that he is black. That is not the reason there is 1.2 million people shoved in the mall right now. Yes, it is a great step forward for our nation to have elected a black man. I get that there have been times in our history that we didn't think this day was going to come. But if he was white, or Hispanic, or Asian... I would still be tearing. I would still be so proud and so hopeful for our future. Because it is the HOPE that this man brings, not the color of his skin, that has the potential to change our world.
