England is well known for having terrible weather, right? It seems the sun is always hiding behind the clouds, even down in the south where I live. The past two summers have been terrible but even so, I've noticed a trait in English men that cracks me up to no end.
If there is a glimmer, a single ray of sunlight coming from the sky they quickly rip their shirts off, clammy white skin glowing for all the world to see. Back in America, it seemed that only confident men would walk around shirtless...those with minimal pudge and just muscle. Dear lord...the fatter the better over here. Muscle? Who needs it?! We're working on our 'tans'. Ugh.
What's even more comical is when the weather starts to brighten how they react. We had a relatively warm day Tuesday *about 45 F* and I saw three separate convertibles with their tops down. The drivers were obviously frozen, all bundled up in scarves, gloves and hats, but goddamnit they were going to pretend it was freakin Palm Beach and cruise around. I can't help but laugh!
