The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Google defines "faux" as "fake: not genuine or real..." so how does this equate to love. As I matured, I challenge some of the type of loves I hear in society / pop culture so much so that I don't really think they exist. I had to revisit them and break them down to show what they really are pass the surface. So here we go the top 5 fake loves in our society in no particular order:

1) "He beats me cause he loves me": Whomever uses this line is completely lying to themselves and others. Love is not abuse. Period.

2) Love at first sight: Well there is attraction at first site but how is it love at first site when you don't even personally know the person when you first meet them.

3) Making love: Yes, I went there. Making love is what R&B artist sing about to make love sound more romantic than just saying "sex". I also think that making love can hinder sexual exploration. For example, a person may think that oral sex is not making love when at the end of the day it can be just as intimate / passionate as a traditional position.

4) "I love you but I'm not in love with you": This one of the biggest cop out uses of love that I ever heard. I consider this the smoke screen that gets the person out of the situation without acknowledging the real reason why they are breaking up or why they don't want to get involve with the person they are using this line on.

5) Love is blind: No, denial is what blinds us not love.

Good luck on your journey...
