There are certain websites that I hold near and dear to my heart. Since moving to the isolation of Fort McMurray, there are a few websites that are more important than ever. Below, I will list my favorite websites, why they're so great, and what you can get from them.
*Warning, the majority of these sites are shopping related, and in no specific order.
1) Blogger.com- for pretty obvious reasons. From keeping myself in the loop, to getting a good laugh; blogs are a special part of my day.
2) People.com- My daily dose of celebrity gossip. "I like People magazine because it's trash, but it's classy trash."
3) Amazon.ca- Hands down the BEST website for ordering books and Wii games. Not only do they have great prices and speedy shipping, but it's so convenient! It's nearly impossible to get your hands on a Wii game in this town, so Amazon makes things pretty easy. They also offer free shipping on orders over $59, but do you know how much stuff you can get for $59 from Amazon? A lot.
4) Facebook.com- The social network of the century. A terrifying addiction.
5) TheWeatherNetwork.com- This one was suggested by Lanette. I use the Weather Network app on my BlackBerry more than the actual website, but it's still a gooder.
6) eBay.ca- I have an ongoing love affair with eBay. It's just so sensational. 50 MAC pigment pots for $60? Babyliss hair straightener for $49? Memory cards for $5? Yes please.
7) Royalbank.ca- I heart online banking. Thank you for simplifying my life.
Sephora.com- My outlet for snazzy beauty loot.
8) Avon.ca- My outlet for the cheap-but-great beauty loot.
9) YouTube.com- A.Mazing. Heard a song that you like but can't figure out who it is? This has solved each and every one of my song mysteries. Want a good laugh? YouTube "Fainting Goats," or "Rusty the Narcoleptic Dog." Missed an episode of your favorite show, or an intriguing interview? YouTube it. Seriously, so great.
10) Zennioptical.com- Prescription glasses for $8-$49? YES PLEASE. I'm the proud owner of 8 pairs, and have hooked numerous people onto the very same website. $6.95 for shipping, 2 week delivery, hundreds of dollars saved on prescription glasses and sunglasses, all from the comfort of your computer desk. Man, I love China.
11) Lululemon.com- Lulus...ordered online... shipped to your door. 'Nuff said.
12) The-Sports-Exchange.com- Scott and my favorite place to buy sporting equipment, and now you can order online and they'll ship it to you via UPS.
13) Costco.ca- Now that you can order online, I no longer go through withdrawals.**
14) GoogleImage.com- Amazing resource for finding the perfect photo. Of absolutely anything!
15) Google.ca- The sole reason that I don't "wonder" about much of anything anymore. Not sure about something? Having a debate with a friend/co-worker/sibling/spouse? Google it. Problem solved.
16) Overstock.com- Like eBay, but a little different. For example: 687 pages of women's shoes, 60 items per page. Do the math on that one!
17) Canadiantire.ca- Crappy Tire, for all our camping needs. Their online inventory is usually pretty accurate, and the option to order online when you're in Fort McMurray is always appreciated.
18) CanadaPost.com/Ship-In-A-Click.com- Purchase and print shipping labels and postage directly from your computer, and have your packaged picked up that same day!
19) MTV.ca- Episodes online. Music Charts. Love it!
