Alright so today was a day to improve our compound, things such as making rooms in the tents to gain some privacy or expanding our compound. First thing this morning Edwards and I ran down to the little bizarre they have here on the FOB where the local nationals come and try and sell ya stuff, its like Tijuana ya just barter with them the whole time so we went and bought 4 king sized blankets to make rooms in the tent.
However when we got back there all like alright men were gonna tear down four Hesco's which is kind of a big deal when all you have is a Shovel and Wheel barrow cuz these things are huge. Needless to say we were kinda bummed about that, after about 3 hrs of shoveling they cut us loose for lunch and we went and ate and came back and they had a Traco there to do the rest of it which was way nice so, Edwards and I hung up our blankets using 550 Chord to hold em up ha its a pretty sweet little room that we have going right now just missing one blanket to split it in half so we each have our own as of now its a shared room.
After we got that done I ran over and helped Ashton knock out a door for our tent so we know have a sweet wooden door on the front of our tent. He made it all high speed and what not and i rigged up a counter weight thing for it so the door shuts on its own that way ya don't have to deal with people always leavin it open because well they would and did before we had that in place.
Mainly today was a good day tho because I was able to do everything I did back home from shoveling dirt for a few hours which to me is fun ha i enjoy the work out and seeing your progress and the sense of accomplishment that comes at the end of the day when you can see what you've done. The other thing that made it good was building the door ha i love building things and improving the situation.
So all in all today i felt like i was back home fixing a bunch of random things and just staying busy all day it was so nice to actually feel like you did something ha so thats my story for the day
