Hello Hello! Sorry I've been naughty about posting for a while, but I've been a very busy bee lately. I'm sure you'll forgive me when you see what I have for you today...
Now, I don't know about you but I'm not a fan of swim wear. There was a brief time when I could have rocked a bikini and gotten away with it... just. But these days when thinking about lounging about the poolside I have a teensy shudder of dread. Lets face it, unless you're spending two weeks in Courtown, you're going to be the whitest, and possibly chubbiest on the beach... damn those Europeans and their healthy lifestyle and mahogany tans. By the way that's not to say we're fat or unsightly, no... we're just Irish, we have curves and we're short. For the most part anyway.
Unfortunately for us, most of the swimwear we buy looks like it was road tested in Brazil. In which case I turn, as I am often want to do, to times past. When curvy was an attribute rather than a trigger for eating disorders. One pieces are making a huge comeback, as is retro styling, little boy-shorts and swimsuits with skirts or short bottoms are very much in vogue. However at the minute, although there are many retailers stocking 'vintage inspired' swim wear, they still appear to be making them for the 17-21 year old market.
I was helping my friends Ruby & Scarlett find something for their forthcoming holliers and stumbled upon these little treasures. Above are my top ten favourites reading left to right, with one to suit almost every budget.
