T.V. Show

Today I got another step closer to making it happen. What is 'it', you ask?
'It' is the rest of my life. It's who I want to be and what I know I can do. It is every dream I've had since I was 5 years old, and every ounce of motivation I can muster.

'It' is applying to a t.v. show with every hope of getting hired. I found this travel show that's looking for someone to host it. It's called the Big Trip and they seem to be all about social butterflies who love to travel (alone, because it's just you and the camera crew... plus the entire country and the open road!).

So I thought to myself, I'm a social butterfly. I love to travel. I'm perfect. I grabbed my video camera, met Jose and convinced him to walk around NYC video taping people with me. If I'm anything it's open to adventure and open to making friends. Jose laughed along as we filmed me hugging the bodega guy and wrestling a burrito on the street. It was grand.

Then something funny happened. I started up an on-camera conversation with a guy in American Apparel. Then, 10 minutes later I was randomly asking girls out on the street for him and agreeing to a Halloween party later that night. It was superb. I didn't only pretend to make a friend- I actually did. And that's when I knew. This show could be the start of something wonderful and crazy and endlessly fun!

But when I went to make my video my computer froze, my camera wasn't compatible with a PC and I had to be out of my house in 20 minutes. It was disastrous. I was terrified. I took a walk to clear my brain and a car sprayed me with water.

The whole scenario was a catastrophe.

Or so I thought. But I hunkered down, poured my heart and soul into the application and am now sitting here praying for the best.
