Viva Las Vegas!!!

There just simply aren't words to explain how happy I am to finally get away and go somewhere that's nowhere near home and the crappy crap that's been going on in my life lately. As if I didn't need a vacation horrendously before, I really REALLY need one now!

Joe & I are leaving this Sunday to the following Sunday and spending a joyous 8 days in Las Vegas, NV. He's been before (just for business) and I lived there for about a year when I was approx. 6 months old, so I don't remember it very much. (Not to mention the lack of being able to walk kept me from gambling at all...). We're staying at what looks to be a gorgeous resort right behind the strip. All the reviews say it's wonderful so we're really excited to go there! It's basically a 1 bedroom apartment: bedroom, bathroom, living room, and full kitchen. I'm hoping we get a nice balcony. When I'm on vacation I suddenly find myself loving the idea of waking up and reading the paper outside in the morning.

We have plans to go to the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyons, do a gondola ride at the Venetian (I've been dying to go to Rome/Venice since I was about... um born, so this is the closest I'll get!!), see the Tournament of the Kings dinner show at the Excalibur Hotel, see the Pirate Show and the water show at the Bellagio. We're really excited. The rest of the time we're going to do something I never get to do: RELAX!!!

We can't wait!! I'm hoping this week flies by and that we have great flights, and then an amazing time there!
