The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So, last week I tried a few recipes.

I was really excited about the Fettuccine with Clam Sauce... it was a disappointment. I thought that the sauce was not thick enough to coat the noodles, so it ended up tasting like plan fettuccine with essence of yum. I didn't want ESSENCE of yum, I wanted to be SWIMMING in yum.
So, boo to that.

However, Friday, Boyfriend asked if he could have a friend come over for dinner and if we had enough burger meat to eat at home. I was excited that I had enough, and could accommodate a third person. But this also means that I normally buy 50% excess burger meat? Epic Fail.

How does one master the art of cooking for two? It's really hard. I often find myself with extra ingredients. I have been learning. I, for example, LOVE Trader Joe's frozen mashed potatoes because: A. It tastes heavenly and B. They are frozen in little individual portions, so I can take out what I want and put the rest back in the freezer.

The burgers were amazing. I whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone. Here's the recipe again: Rachel Ray's "Brad's Burgers".

Here is the menu for this week:
Tonight, the potroast from last week is currently cooking.

Spaghetti with Spicy Chicken Sausage (From TJ's)

Trader Joe's Mojito Salmon

Fried Chicken

Chicken Curry (Yum yum yum, we LOVE curry in this house)

The Mojito Salmon and Chicken Curry come directly from Trader Joe's. But I don't feel as guilty about the pre-made options when I shop at Trader Joe's because they're all preservative free, natural ingredients, etc. Not to mention, the prices are amazing.
