When I decided to leave Philippines, I knew that number one thing that I'm gonna miss is the food. Filipino food is a diverse combination of sweet, sour and salty flavours and foreigners who come to the country often describe our cuisine as one gastronomic experience they will never forget. Most Filipinos who went abroad brings this food culture to their country of destination and it never fails to capture the taste of their love ones. So when I went to Netherlands, despite the lack of cooking skills, I tried hard to prepare Filipino dishes at home so I won't I miss it so much.
Back home, I do not cook. It is usually my mother who cooks for us because she is also the best cook in the family (by that I mean uncles, aunts and cousins). So when Mom is not around and I am craving for authentic Pinoy taste, there is only one place that I head to, Goldilocks!
