Hey all! I'm a pro. vocalist living in Calgary. I want to do it right, so I plan to attend Berklee, applying for 2012. My husband is also a pro. musician, playing as a guitar player around town and touring with an up and coming country band. We have an interesting life, and its cool to see how different our goals are in the same business. I am hoping to be full-time music immediately after school, and work a day job as well as do music right now in an effort to get us out of debt. But I am excited that each day gets me closer to performing and session work full-time. It can't come fast enough.

 

Right now, I have a corporate project and do some high end, high paying corporate gigs, but I just got involved with a local rock project with a great friend of mine. I am glad for an opportunity to help other musicians succeed and lend some direction and encouragement to them. Once school is done, I want to record an EP/demo.

Well musicians, I think it's about time we get this group active no? We're all musicians... and love music, so let's talk about it! Umm... well my band -- we play rock music. Think very melodic and very guitar oriented Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins slapped together... with a lot of sensitivity. You'll get pretty close to us. My blog is about the band specifically, but I'm trying to keep it on a personal, blogging level. It's just 4 guys trying to make it and progress through the Hollywood music scene.
Anybody else out there?
