I'm a Texas transplant who moved to NYC after college to become an inner-city public school teacher/ninja. I taught in Harlem for two years and am now living the English major's dream and working as a writer.
I've got wide eyes, a smart mouth, and a MetroCard. And I'm not afraid to use them.
Fill in the blank: "People who like _________ will love my blog!"
NYC, sardonic humor, irony, reading, public transportation, kissing and telling, writing, thrift shopping, fashion, education, quips, observational humor, feminism, interior design, soul music, democracy, pop culture, social media, blatant exaggerations, English bulldogs, city life
What makes you different from other bloggers?
I blog very regularly. People say I'm funny. I can spell and seldom blog about the weather or what I had for lunch.

Hi Amanda. I love your blog, I've even started reading all of the old posts. You actually inspired me to start blogging myself. I especially love your posts about Chicago, I am moving there this summer and its what I blog about. Basically you are a huge inspiration to me. I feel like a bit of a creeper, but isn't that what blogging is all about? Creeping on people and being crept upon? Online? Anyway, thanks.
LOVE your blog, my friend Adam point out the "vlog" where you read sections of books in a sing song voice... I do the same thing but opposite, I state song lyrics in a conversational voice. Very fun. :)
