- In the Fall of 1984, I came screaming into the world, like most babies do, and was subsequently named Ariel, brought home to live with my parents, their records, a dog (also named Ariel), a cat, and a lot of books. While other kids were being babysat, I was listening to Allen Ginsberg read Howl, standing in awe of Felix Gonzales-Torres piles, and making up an entire world of imaginary friends who were going to help me stop things like logging, bullies, and limits on the number of cookies one was allowed to eat in one day. Nearly 26 years later, I'm not much different...I laugh a lot, read a lot, love animals, art, cooking and being outside.
Professionally, I'm an independent curator, writer, arts advocate and work in various facets of arts management. I'm currently working on a dual-MA in Art History and Arts Administration in Chicago, IL; gearing up for my first cycling Winter; and embracing a return (a final return!) to a vegan lifestyle

pretty recently I was fairly omnivorous myself. (And filled with guilt
