I suggest going to the forums and checking out some of the hot topics. I'm new here, too, and tend to get overwhelmed easily, so I've been trying to take it slowly. Overall it seems simple enough to get involved and get out there. That picture of your grandmother is gorgeous, by the way! Oh, and I forgot you were going into yoga teacher training - I did mine back in 2006. Though I'm not currently teaching, it was a great experience!
I was the same - nervous/excited for it to start. I did mine in Mpls at Core Power Yoga. It was such a cool experience. You'll learn to teach and your practice will go to a whole new level! Just soak it all in and ask a lot of questions. You'll also meet a lot of very cool people with different backgrounds - at least at mine - there were people of all ages with all sorts of cool ideas to use yoga in the "real world". I did find a job right away but I know some people are still looking. Its all about timing and really putting yourself out there. Just enjoy the training and let me know if you have any questions. I have lots of great material and am always here to help!
read your post in the Yoga Group: I did my teacher training about a year ago and LOVED it! Where are you going through? I wish you all the best of luck - its a great experience!
