Update

I've got lots of traveling coming up soon! Check back over the next few weeks/months for fun travel posts about these places (if the post it up, the link is included):
  • This weekend, I'm traveling to the Spanish cities Salamanca,Segovia, and Ávila.
  • Then I'm hopping over to England to visit my family. Yay tea and Topshop!
  • In April, I'm going to the Feria de Abril in Sevilla
  • Right after that, I'll be jumping on a boat for a week of wild parties in Ibiza!
  • In June, I'm headed to see my parents in Berlin and Madrid
I'm so, so lucky to live somewhere where travel is affordable and easy, and I'm super excited about all my upcoming trips.

Hey! To be honest, it wasn't really a decision I put much thought into. There is a huge lack of teaching jobs in my home country so I decided to apply for every job abroad. The head of my school phoned me and the first question was 'what do you know about Qatar?' to which I responded 'er..not a lot' and then after a few more questions I was offered the job, I accepted and here I am. I'm still deciding whether it was a good choice or not, haha!

I really feel like I felt off the face of the earth and just crawled my way back! Sorry about that!

Barcelona super fun fosho, and I think it is great that you are getting to know the city when all the turists are not around, it is almost a whole different city! What are you doing there? It's funny bc so many spaniards are packing their bags and moving to england now

Also, I was just checking out - and following :) - your tumblr and I noticed that you don't have a section for comments, do you know about DISQUS? It's free and it allows people to comment on your tumblr, I found about it a couple of nights ago.

I don't know... so many reasons and no reason at all! How are you liking Bcn? Your blog is really fun, it is definitely going to cause me many hours of procrastination!

Go for it; I think the reasons behind doing something are fascinating.  I can't believe you just left without anything lined up!  I admire you for that.   I think my parents would have had a heart attack if I had done that.

I actually wrote a blog about why I chose Korea, but in a nutshell...I wanted to try teaching in a different country.  I'm not fluent enough in another language, and when I was looking, Asia seemed the easiest area to move to.  I initially tried for Japan but went with Korea because 1) I never got officially accepted into Japan and 2) Korea has a booming/stable economy.  How did you find your job in Spain?
