About Me:

I'm a neurotic and a ditz and a creative writer. I think those things are, in some way, all related. This whole blogging thing started about a year into writing my first novel... I got distracted.

Anyway, now my first draft is done and I'm fighting the endless battle; trying not to give up, grow up or admit defeat and get a proper job and a house and a Volvo.

I'm currently in a relationship with an actual novelist. He isn't neurotic. He’s intellectual, he has a beard, and reads complicated books containing excessively long words. I'm not sure why he's still with me.

In real life, I have a part time office job, which helps me pay the bills. After all 'Aspiring Writer' doesn't pay that well. Anyway, I'm grotesquely incompetent in my job, but I haven't been fired yet. I might be because I offer to make my colleagues' tea and coffee all the time. I guess it's easier to ignore my general crapness and ineptitude, when I'm constantly providing the refreshments in an otherwise dull day.
