- When I was ten, I thought that looking both ways before crossing the street meant you were independent. I believed that collecting more of those holographic Pokemon cards led others to think you were better than them. I screamed for ice cream, scratch & sniff stickers, tire swings, field trips, and stuffed animals. Eleven years made me realize that all I've ever wanted was a hero.
