My name is Samantha, friends call me Sam. I constantly have my nose in a book. If I could live at Barnes and Nobles I would. I spend my free time there. Im addicted to coffee, I have taken a liking to hot tea also. I can finish a 400 page book in a day. I have a job that conveniently lets me read with minimal interruptions. Im in school full time to be a Copy Editor. Im just starting out, so dont judge me on my grammatical errors. I want to live in New York one day and work for a big publishing company, but for now im stuck here in sunny Florida, soakin up the rays, working to survive, and to support my book addiction.
Well, when I first started out of school, I worked as a copy editor, with the minimal amount of my own writing. It was more rewriting and proofreading, which I loved (and still do), but I didn't feel challenged enough. Now I'm a copywriter and I love it. The hours are NUTS, you have to prepare to defend yourself and your work/art to the bitter end, but when you win, it's so satisfying. And when you lose, you can just grumble how no one understands true art - a win either way! :)
Isn't the ending AMAZING??? Did you cry? I totally did. And then realized I was getting my period so it was most likely hormones all whacked out but still. Did you see a company acquired film rights to Shiver???? How amazing would this movie be? By far my favorite song on the music is the Snow Patrol with Martha Wainwright song...beautiful! I have to get her other books, I'm sure I'd love them. I can't remember- have you read the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare? That's another set I love!
Yay! I am glad you like SHIVER!!! Keep in mind that there is a sequel coming out this July called LINGER...and I can't tell you what that's about until you finish this one. And then...there is a third book coming out soon after LINGER. You should check out the author's website- she's got music that influenced the book. *swoon*
