- We are two single women tangled in the chaos of living single in the city. With very different past relationship experiences and often opposing views, we hope to paint a very real and vivid scene of the modern day single woman. We have realized that our stories are not our own – our heartaches, frustrations, and even our moments of happiness and laughter – are collective experiences that women everywhere will relate to, empathize with, and hopefully learn from.
We are writing under the name of “Check the Box Entertainment” because that is the way we are living our lives right now. It is not necessarily about checking items off your life list but about always being open to what you did not plan. “Check the box” is our version of Carpe Diem. Around every corner is a new experience to be had, a new opportunity to go after.
Say you always thought you would travel more once you were settled in a career or when you were married – or even as simple as you’ll check out this restaurant when you go out on a date. Why are you waiting around? Why are you building stipulations around these wanted experiences in life?
We strive not to be held back by our “this-is-not-where-I-thought-I-would-be-by-now” doubts.
