Newest update!! Marine proposed! So I'm now engaged.... no longer living the lifeofasinglegirl :)

I'll start off with telling you a little about me. I'm twenty-seven (but I prefer to think of it as twenty-six round 2). I am very outdoorsy and I love doing anything athletic. I ride horses and have been doing so since before I learned how to walk. Seriously.

I live in a small town; everybody knows everybody. Sometimes it's nice but other times it can drive you crazy. I mean even if you don't know what your doing, in a small town, someone else always does. But I guess that is also part of the charm.

The past year has seemed like one big move for me! Currently I am living with my best friend Vixen. I prefer living on my own but I have to admit I couldn't ask for a better roommate. Like everything else in life it is an adjustment and one that I am learning to make.

I am also transitioning from the life of a single girl to that of a Marine girlfriend. This is my first attempt at a long distance relationship. Its not always easy and its not always fun but those weekends that we do have together seem to make it all worth while.

Life has many chapters. This is the story of my life.

Ok I'll be honest. I very rarely visit my page here. I know, I know, shame on me! But really there are so many things to keep up with in everyday life and online something has to take a backseat..... lame excuse. Oh well it's the truth, take it or leave it! But I do update my Blog pretty regularly ~ So check it out :)

We were really just keeping in touch on Facebook chat while he was gone the first 9 months. It's weird going into the next few month as his girlfriend. He just left Monday so I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet. I'm guessing he's just getting back & getting settled. This whole thing is harder because we haven't told any of our friends that we're dating. I used to date his best friend so we're trying to be considerate. We decided to wait until he's home in July to "go public." It's just hard not being able to really talk to anyone about it until then.

Thanks for the comment & the encouragement. We've been friends for a year so I've been used to his deployment over the last 9 months. It's definitely different now that we're dating. I'm a little unsure of how all of this works.
