About Me:
I am a 26 year old mother to a beautiful, talented unruly 2 year old and a wife of a James Bond type who is away much of the time saving the world. These are the ramblings containing an underused skill of writing and overplayed feelings of self-referential madness. Parenting train wrecks, witty anecdotes, deployment bitching, pop culture ramblings and unrelenting meanness is what you can expect. I am a gargantuan book (read: kindle) nerd and devour at least a book a week. Genres ranging from Highlander smut to YA. I love photography and there is a 99.9% chance that my child is cuter than yours. Love & light, blog stalkers.

When it comes to YA books, I stick to the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson (although the newer ones are grating on me), the Georgia Nicolson (sp?) series by Louise Rennison and my favorite, The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld (which I strongly suggest if you've not read them.) Sometimes you can't trust those Amazon reviews. I've definitely been lead astray before, or I read reviews and read the book anyway and love it. I've never heard of the Fever series, so I think I'll have to check into it! Lately though I've been reading a lot of animal related books/memoirs. Currently I am really liking Kasey to the Rescue by Ellen Rogers. For some reason the fall has seemed to be a lot of those two with a random Bestseller Fiction thrown in there for good measure. I could talk books for ages though. :)

Welcome Rachel! I adore reading. Have you read anything good lately? I'm averaging about a book a week as well.
