I know bullets aren't the greatest, but they're what I've got for now. So, things I have been reflecting on this week:
1. I need to get my act together!
- There was an essay due on Friday. I had not even tried to write it before Monday night at 2 am. It’s Wednesday at noon and I am still
not finished. I have always had problems finishing major assignments, but
I reallyreallyreally do not want to take this class again.
- There are several reading assignments I am not caught up on.
- I have a Biology test tomorrow—have not studied for it yet.
- We have a paper due in my history class next week. It is significantly more involved than the above essay, and I
cannot bring myself to start on it because I find the act of spending hours and
hours and hours on a paper quite daunting.
2. I hate my job.
- Now, I realize that not every job is about farting rainbows. But I have always taken pride in my strong work ethic,
and TPTB do not seem to appreciate it one bit. (And just for the record,
strong work ethic does NOT equal strong [home]work ethic.)
- There is no room for growth there.
- Though I was 17 when I started with this place (it was my first job), my skills level has evolved beyond my years and
yet I am still getting paid a minimal amount compared to the more
recently-hired *cough*older men*cough* who do less work than I do.
- I am getting to know other people without degrees who have decent jobs for someone my age—and I am wondering if that is
something possible for me as well.
3. It is February 2-freaking-4th! Where on Earth has the time gone?
- It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year and now it is almost March.
- I have not blogged in forever—I guess because #1 and #2 have me stressed out at the moment. I will try to
rectify this soon.
So, what is going on in your world? Any new lessons, revelations?
